We provide annual training in firefighting operations, prescribed burning and aerial incendiary burning which assisted our clients’ undertaking a larger prescribed burn program on the country to assist ranger groups to reduce bushfire risk. Reducing the bushfire risk to a large area of the aboriginal land trust increased the ability to generate income from carbon projects, protect community infrastructure, assets, and sacred sites from bushfire.
On the 6th July 2018 Director/Trainer Brett Stephens from SA Bush Fire Solution conducted fire Management and aerial incendiary training to the Bulgul Rangers and the Wodikapildiyerr Rangers on the Bulgul Land Trust in the Northern Territory.
The training provided was to 9 Indigenous Rangers and was a mixture of men and women. As the Ranger Coordinator for the Bulgul Rangers I found Brett’s knowledge and expertise in fire management and aerial incendiary to be excellent and the training provided to be very informative, inclusive and hands-on and relevant to the line of work we as a ranger group do during our fires season.
Brett’s style of teaching was very easy to understand and showed his passion in what he does. He took his time with students that have English as second language, Brett showed patience and respectfulness for indigenous culture where it was needed.
If the opportunity were to arise again to use SA Bush Fire Solution Training I would not hesitate and would gladly recommend him to provide training for any business or company in Fire Management and aerial incendiary Training.
